"Checkout was such a hassle"
Checking out was a pain. My payment kept failing for no clear reason, and I had to rebuild my cart twice, which was super frustrating. I just wanted to place my order, but the whole checkout process made it way more annoying than it needed to be.

I placed my order after seeing a promo banner that made it sound like I’d be getting a decent saving. Once I got to checkout though, I realised most of the things I’d picked didn’t actually qualify, which was frustrating because I only found out right at the end.
I’d also been emailed a discount code, but that wouldn’t work on top of the sale prices, so the total only dropped by a few pounds. By the time shipping was added, it barely felt like a deal at all.
To be fair, my items arrived without any issues, so the order itself was fine. I just found the offers a bit misleading and more confusing than helpful, so I’m not in a hurry to shop there again.

I had to cancel my order, i was already thinking, here we go, this is going to be a hassle. But nope, the refund came back quickly, and there wasn’t any back and forth drama. Support replied the same day too, which was a nice surprise. Overall, way smoother than I thought it would be.

I didn’t really think much about the points at first, but they do add up if you’re buying often. It’s not like some huge life-changing discount or anything, but every now and then I’ll check and realize I can save a few bucks, which is always nice. Kind of one of those small rewards that feels better than expected.

I had a little problem with my order at first, nothing huge but still something I needed help with, and I was expecting it to take a bit of back and forth to get sorted. To my surprise, they replied really quickly and just dealt with it without making it complicated or stressful. It was all handled in a really smooth and hassle-free way, which I appreciated a lot. "Packaging was disappointing"
I ordered a model kit from houseofhobbies.com, and to be fair, it showed up faster than I thought it would. The only confusing part was that the email seemed to say one thing about the order/shipping, while the actual delivery timing felt like another, so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect.
When it arrived, the packaging was disappointing. The outer box felt way too thin, and there was barely any padding inside. One corner of the kit box was crushed, and there were a few dents along the sides too.
The model itself looks like it’s probably fine, but with collectible kits, the box condition matters a lot. I’d be hesitant to order again unless they improve how they pack these kinds of items.

"Delivery Was Kind of a Mess"
My order did eventually show up, so I’ll give them that, but the delivery process was frustrating. The tracking barely updated, and the delivery date kept changing like nobody really had it together. Not the worst experience ever, but they made it more annoying than it needed to be, so I’m not exactly in a hurry to order again.

I picked up a few hobby items from here after comparing prices on a bunch of other sites. i kind of assumed there’d be some catch, like they’d make up the difference with shipping or slow things down, but it turned out fine. The prices were better than most places I checked, shipping was normal, and overall I feel like I got a good deal.

The site was simple to get around, and the pages loaded fine, so I’ll give them that. Checkout wasn’t confusing either. But the search feature was frustrating, and that’s on them. It made finding what I needed harder than it should’ve been. Overall it was still an okay experience, but they really need to fix that.

I ordered a couple of hobby items from houseofhobbies.com, and the items themselves arrived just fine with no issues. I was a little disappointed by the shipping cost though. For the size of my order, it felt higher than I expected, and I wish that had been a bit clearer before I got to checkout. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did leave me slightly frustrated. I’m still happy with what I bought and would probably order again, but the shipping price definitely stood out.

"They actually had the kits I was after"
I was trying to track down a couple of model kits that were sold out pretty much everywhere else, and House of Hobbies actually had both of them listed. The stock info seemed sorta up to date too, which was a nice change.
Checkout was easy, and I got exactly what I ordered with no weird substitutions or surprise backorder email after paying. I’ll probably check here first next time I’m hunting for harder-to-find hobby stuff.
